Chef De Partie

 

The RAF Club is located in the beautiful area of London’s Mayfair and is a stunning building with 92 bedrooms. The Club offers luxurious and peaceful accommodation and facilities to serving and former serving officers of the RAF and Allied Air Forces. We are currently looking for a talented individual with a passion in cooking and working in a buzzing kitchen environment to join the team as a Chef de Partie. The role includes assisting the Executive Chef and Sous chefs in ensuring that all duties within the Kitchen are carried out according to the procures set out by Health and Safety Laws and the RAF Club standards.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

The successful candidate would need to:

•Ensure that all food production is in line with food standards and carry out those duties as designated by the Executive Chef/Senior Sous Chef and Junior Sous Chef

•Ensure the consistent delivery of quality, well presented food to our members and other customers whilst assisting with the supervision of Demi Chef de Partie's / Commis in all food outlets

•Ensure ordering and requisitions are correctly completed for the relevant section

•Work effectively within the Kitchen Brigade to ensure high level of service standards

•To check that all food is stored and used in rotation to eliminate wastage and adhere to the Health and Hygiene Laws

•To follow close down procedure at the end of shift to ensure safety of equipment and security of produce is maintained

•To be aware of emergency, safety and first aid procedures and to report all accidents to the Duty Manager

•To behave at all times in a manner which projects a good image to guests and staff within the club

•Enjoy working in a team environment and assist in the training of commis and trainees

The ideal candidate should have:

•NVQ Level 3 in Food production or other related Culinary skills qualification

•Previous Chef de Partie experience in a members Club or other hospitality organisation preferably 4/5 star hotel / restaurant

•Strong industry experience as a Demi-Chef looking to progress

•Proficient in larder, vegetable and saucier sections

•Excellent communication skills and enjoys motivating the team

•Excellent awareness of food hygiene standards


Contract/Working hours
Contract: Permanent/Full time - Working hours: 45 hrs / week
