Mrs Bryant visited the Hibernian Club in Dublin and sent us this report
Last Saturday evening (13 November) I visited the Hibernian Club in Dublin for dinner. It proved to be such an enjoyable experience for myself and my friends that I thought I must recommend this club to other members.
The Hibernian club is situated on St Stephens Green which is a very beautiful part of the city. The club dining room is said to be one of the most beautiful rooms in Dublin and I can well believe it. It is splendid and we had an excellent dinner . We were given a warm welcome by all the members of staff including Mr Ray Mooney, the Manager.
Altogether we enjoyed a delicious meal and a memorable evening. We considered the cost to be moderate for the high standard of the meal and service.
There are bedrooms in the club that one can book. I did not stay at the club so cannot comment on these, but I was so impressed by the ambiance and the welcome given that I will certainly stay there next time I visit Dublin
