The Wellesley Club in Wellington NZ is now as much a select hotel as a club and on our arrival we were pleased to be upgraded to a very pleasant, front facing room. This room was huge, especially the bathroom which was among the biggest we have ever used with roll-top, claw-foot bath and separate shower cubicle.
We thoroughly enjoyed the calm, elegant atmosphere within the building and the staff could not have been more helpful. The only problem we encountered was that parking was either metered on the street or a short walk away in a pay car park on the waterfront.
