The Running Horse Tavern
The Running Horse Tavern is best described as a traditional English pub in the heart of the Club.
Having re-opened in September 2025, following a three-months-long extensive refurbishment, the now modernised space offers a fresh, clean look with increased capacity, both seated and standing, along with step-free access. Members can relax and enjoy a pint or two alongside a new menu that still features much-loved classics such as Fish & Chips, the Club Sandwich, and the Club Burger.
Offering a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with an informal dress code to match, the Running Horse Tavern has been fully transformed into a lasting and integral part of the Club’s future, ready to serve Members for many years to come.
Drinks
Since the recent refurbishment of the Running Horse, we are delighted to offer a wider selection of wines, spirits and drinks on tap. You can now enjoy favourites such as Spitfire Amber Ale and Lager, San Miguel, Iron Wharf Stout and Orchard View Cider.
We also proudly serve our Club’s own range of wines and gins, including the exclusive Running Horse Hedgerow Gin, handcrafted especially to celebrate our refurbishment.
Dress Code
Informal - polo shirts, smart trousers, untorn jeans and trainers are permitted.
Rubberized flip flops, shorts, t-shirts, sports attire and overtly branded attire is not permitted.
Ladies, please use the definition above as a guide. Smart sandals and t-shirt style tops are permitted.
Children are welcome, but must be supervised by an adult at all times with parent/guardian ensuring children are well-behaved and dressed appropriately.
