Announcement of the New Club Patron
Wednesday 8th May 2024
The Royal Air Force Club is absolutely delighted to announce that His Majesty King Charles III has graciously accepted the Patronage of the Club.
Since its establishment in 1918, the Royal Air Force Club has held Royal Patronage from three reigning British Monarchs: King George V, King George VI and, until Her loss in 2022, Queen Elizabeth II. Following the death of Her Majesty, a review of the Patronages of The late Queen, The former Prince of Wales and The former Duchess of Cornwall has been undertaken and is now complete.
In a recent letter received from The Principal Private Secretary to The King and Queen, to mark the first anniversary of Their Majesties' Coronation, we were informed that "Following the thorough analysis of over one thousand organisations, I am pleased that His Majesty would be delighted to accept the Patronage of the Royal Air Force Club". We are of course deeply honoured and proud to receive this confirmation that His Majesty will be the fourth reigning British Monarch to become our Patron.
We very much look forward to welcoming The King to the Club at future events.
God Save The King.
