We are delighted to announce that Air Marshal Sir David Walker has accepted the invitation of the Board of Trustees to become the President of the Royal Air Force Club, succeeding Sir Peter Squire who sadly passed away in February.

Sir David was commissioned in 1974. His appointments included Equerry to The Queen, secondment to the Diplomatic Service in South Africa and command of RAF Halton. In 2005 he was seconded back to Buckingham Palace as Master of the Royal Household.

Since leaving the Royal Household in 2013, Sir David has worked in Financial Services and as a Senior Advisor for PwC. Currently, he is Chairman of Sova Assessments, and is on the Boards of Alexander Mann Solutions and Auticon. He is a Vice Patron of the Royal International Air Tattoo, Honorary Air Commodore of 603 (City of Edinburgh) Squadron, and President of the Montrose Air Heritage Centre. Sir David remains an Extra Equerry to The Queen, and is a Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire.
