The RAF Club combines RAF heritage with a host of excellent modern facilities for relaxing and dining, along with well-priced overnight accommodation. With 110 bedrooms, a well-equipped Fitness Centre and Business Suite and relaxed public areas, use of the Piccadilly clubhouse can be enjoyed as part of your annual membership.

Serving and Reservist Officers do not require a proposer or seconder to become members of the Club - simply fill out and return the relevant application form and we will do the rest. Fees are based on rank for Serving Officers and start from only £61.00 per annum at Pilot Officer rank.

Serving Royal Air Force Officers

Full Membership of the Royal Air Force Club is open to serving officers in the Royal Air Force. 

Newly graduated 
Serving & Reservist Officers are eligible for first year free, followed by four years at £25.00, with subscription fees then reverting to the rank as below. Please complete a Direct Debit form along with your application. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026.

The annual subscription for 2026 pro-rated from date of joining on a monthly basis to 31 December is as follows:

Tour of Duty Overnight Stays

In pursuance of its charitable objectives, the Club recognises and supports serving Club members who have deployed on operations (unaccompanied commitment lasting at least four months) by offering discounted accommodation for one stay following return from deployment. Benefit from: 50% reduction on room charge (single, double, family) only for up to three days, one offer per member every three calendar years to be taken within twelve months of returning from the deployment.

Reservations are to be made by the member emailing the reservations department at reservations@rafclub.org.uk. Please note, it is not possible to book the tour of duty rate online. Members will need to advise the Club at the time of booking that they wish to take up the ‘Deployed Personnel’ offer.

Full membership is open to Serving Foreign Officers who hold a commission in the Commonwealth or Foreign Air Force. 

The annual subscription is £225.00 for 2026 pro-rated on a monthly basis from the date of joining to 31 December. Candidates must include documentary proof of commission. Please complete a Direct Debit form along with your application. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026.

If a candidate left the Service or resigned from the Club more than six years ago, they will be required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing.

Former Serving Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service Officers

A candidate for election as a Former Serving Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service will have held a commission in the Princess Mary's Royal Air Force Nursing Service. The Former Serving annual subscription is £225.00 for 2026, pro-rated on a monthly basis from the date of joining to 31 December.  Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026.

If a candidate left the Service or resigned from the Club more than six years ago, they will be required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing.

Former Serving Women's Royal Air Force or Womens’ Auxiliary Air Force

A candidate for election as a Former-Serving Women's Royal Air Force or Womens' Auxiliary Air Force Member will have held a commission in the Women's Royal Air Force or Womens' Auxiliary Air Force. The Former-Serving annual subscription is £225.00 for 2026, pro-rated from the date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026.

If a candidate left the Service or resigned from the Club more than six years ago, they will be required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing.

Foreign or Commonwealth Air Force or Officers on Secondment with the Royal Air Force

A Foreign Serving Member who currently holds a commission in a foreign or commonwealth air force or be serving on secondment with the Royal Air Force will currently pay the equivalent of the Former Serving annual subscription, which is £225.00 for 2026. pro-rated on a monthly basis from the date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing.

Officer of the Royal Navy/Royal Marines or British Army serving on an Exchange Tour, Loan Service or Secondment with the Royal Air Force

An Officer of the Royal Navy/Royal Marines or British Army serving on an Exchange Tour, Loan Service or Secondment with the Royal Air Force may apply for full membership during their service with the RAF.

Officers will remain Full Members but are only eligible to apply for Full Membership while serving with the RAF.

They will currently pay the equivalent of the Former Serving annual subscription, which is £225.00 for 2026, pro-rated on a monthly basis from date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026.

Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing and documentary proof of secondment is required with the application.

Affiliate Membership

Open to those who have made or are making a positive contribution to the RAF family.

Affiliate Membership

The Board of Trustees is empowered to elect as Affiliate Members candidates who might not have served in the Royal Air Force, but fulfil at least one of the following criteria:

* are currently filling a Royal Air Force-connected role at an equivalent SEO grade or above

* are undertaking activities which demonstrate considerable support, outside of professional employment, to the RAF Family

For 2026, there is an entrance fee of £300.00 and the annual subscription fee is £325.00 pro-rated from the date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing and a detailed candidate statement of their contribution is required with the application. 

The Honourable Company of Air Pilots/Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society

Current Liverymen of The Honourable Company of Air Pilots and current Fellows or Companions of the Royal Aeronautical Society may apply for Higher Affiliate membership and for 2026, will pay an entrance fee of £510.00 and the annual subscription fee of £325.00 pro-rated from the date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. 

Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing and provide documentary proof of their membership of HCAP or RAeS. 

A Commissioned officer of Other Armed Forces - eligible to wear the Flying Badge or Wings

Serving or Retired  Military Commissioned Officers (NATO rank OF-1 to OF-10), and are eligible to wear the Flying Badge or ‘Wings’ of their specific Service or Country, may apply for membership.  

For 2026, there is an entrance fee of £300.00 and the subscription fee is £325.00 pro-rated on a monthly basis from the date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing.

University Air Squadrons

Members of the UAS, who have completed their first academic year of study, and all past members of the UAS who served on that Squadron for at least one year, are eligible for Affiliate (UAS) membership in recognition of their support to the UAS and the Royal Air Force. 

Current UAS Members, with over one year’s service and a reference from the Squadron Commander, are eligible for first year free, followed by four years at £25.00, with subscription fees then reverting to the previous UAS rate, set at £325.00 for 2026. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. 

The 2026 entrance fee for past UAS members is £300.00, with a subscription fee of £325.00, pro-rated on a monthly basis from the date of joining to 31 December. Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing. 

Family Membership

Membership for family members of a Full Member. Applicable to Children/Grandchildren/Parents/Siblings/Nieces/Nephews and Legal Guardians.

Family members (Child / Grandchild / Parent / Sibling / Niece/ Nephew or Legal Guardian) are eligible to take up membership of the Club from 18 years old. For 2026, there is an entrance fee of £300.00 and a subscription fee of £275.00, pro-rated on a monthly basis from the date of joining to 31 December. 

Associate membership for spouses/civil partners is available, priced at £35.00 for 2026. Candidates are required to be proposed and seconded by Full Members of at least two years' standing.
