Lifting of COVID Restrictions from Monday 19th July

Friday 16th July 2021

The statement from the Prime Minister earlier this week has provided some clarity on the lifting of COVID restrictions from next Monday, 19th July. After careful consideration, our approach to measures within the Club will be as follows:

Face Masks - are no longer compulsory when moving around the Club but staff will be encouraged to wear them when in Member facing areas. Members are free to make their own decision on whether to continue to wear a face mask.

Social Distancing – the requirement to remain seated and not mix inside is lifted in all areas.

Numbers for Dining – are no longer restricted to six per table.

Events and Meetings – are permitted and the restrictions on numbers for events of any kind have been lifted.

COVID Safety Measures – we ask that members continue to show respect for fellow members and staff when visiting and moving around the Club. Some signage will remain as polite reminders of the good etiquette that everyone has shown over recent months, for which we are very grateful. We will continue to follow stringent cleaning strategies.

My sincere thanks to all members and their guests that have shown support for the Club over the last year and to the growing numbers now visiting in person. We are delighted that so many of you feel we have provided a safe environment for your visits and that the measures we have adopted have made you feel comfortable whilst at the Club.

Kind regards

Miles D Pooley
Chief Executive & Club Secretary
