To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Bleriot Anniversary Air Race, a group of amateur cyclists led by the Grandsons of both Air Vice Marshall Charles Maughan and Air Vice Marshall Brian Plenderleith will be racing from Marble Arch to the Arc de Triomphe in August 2019.
Independent film-makers, Warrior Film Promotions are interested in interviewing any Club members with interesting recollections of service for a new six-part documentary series ‘Hurricane V7497: Rebirth Of A British Icon’.
In response to member feedback, from Monday 25th March 2019 the Club will be introducing a lighter, quicker alternative to the traditional Dining Room breakfast, to be served Monday to Sunday from 0800hrs until 1030hrs.
The Club was privileged to host member & Stalag Luft III POW Air Cdre Charles Clarke OBE & actor John Leyton ‘Willie The Tunnel King’ from the classic 1963 film The Great Escape yesterday, ahead of the official 75th anniversary screening & event on 24/03.
The Club is delighted to announce that we have been ranked the 15th Best Not for Profit Organisation to work for in the UK 2019, a leap of 15 places on last year, the Club’s first year of entering.
The Club’s Chairman Sue Gray has today become the first female to attain the three star rank of Air Marshal in the Royal Air Force.
On Friday 1st February the Club hosted a Bedford Blues reunion lunch, and some very special guests were in attendance!
Working alongside Concierge Ashley Roberts, three new members of the Concierge team joined the Club in recent months. Zygi Gruzdys (left) joined us in the summer, after most recently working as a Porter at the Hyde Park Residence and the Lansdowne Club in Mayfair.
